该指标受到大宗商品市场类似指标的启发，衡量新开采的发行量与不活跃供应量变化之间的差异。 Positive demand implies that old coins are waking up and the market is absorbing them along with new issuance. This is taken to be a sign of active spot demand.负值意味着代币进入休眠状态的速度比矿工发行代币的速度还要快。
